How much do Ford Connected Service cost?

Connected Services pricing varies by service, and by Ford year, model, and trim. Use Ford App to connect your phone to your Ford, view prices, and activate complimentary trials specific to your Ford VIN.

Why should I download Ford App and activate my vehicle modem?

Because it unlocks access to free features that let you remotely control and manage your vehicle. Downloading the Ford App and activating your modem connects your phone to your Ford so you can use free features like Phone-as-Key, Door Lock/Unlock, and Remote Start/Stop. It also lets you remotely check your current mileage, fuel level and tire pressure.   
  
Downloading the Ford App and activating your modem is also the first step in activating Connected Services complimentary trials, and paid add-on services like BlueCruise. Available Connected Services vary by vehicle year, model and trim so connecting your phone to your Ford ensures you can view all available complimentary and paid services.

How do I activate a Ford Connected Service?

Use Ford App. Downloading the Ford App and activating your modem is the first step in activating Connected Services complimentary trials, and paid add-on services like BlueCruise*. Once your Ford is added to your Ford App garage, you can view, activate, buy, and cancel your VIN-specific Connected Services from within the Ford App. If you don’t have an app-enabled smartphone, you can also manage your Connected Services by logging into your owner account on the web.  

How do I cancel a Ford Connected Service?

Use Ford App. You can view, activate, buy, and cancel your VIN-specific Connected Services from within the Ford App after you activate your vehicle modem. If you don’t have an app-enabled smartphone, you can also manage or cancel your Connected Services by logging into your owner account on the web. 

Do Ford Connected Services auto-renew?

Many Connected Services auto-renew for your convenience, unless you choose to change or cancel service. If a service auto-renews, Ford will inform you before your credit card is charged. If a service does not auto-renew, Ford will inform you of the end-date and give you the opportunity to extend your service. Use the Ford App to find detailed service terms, specific to your Ford VIN.

Is Wi-Fi required for Ford Connected Services?

No, Wi-Fi is not required to activate your modem or use Connected Services. After you download the Ford App, you can connect your phone to your Ford using just your app-based smartphone, and your cellular service data plan. Message and data rates may apply. If you are having trouble activating your modem, contact your local dealer for support or call 800.392.3673. 

Is Wi-Fi required for over-the-air software updates?

No, Wi-Fi is not required, but we encourage you to use Wi-Fi if you can. Similar to updating your cell phone software, using Wi-Fi to update your vehicle software will help ensure a faster download and more seamless update process. But you can also use a cellular connection.  

I bought my Ford vehicle used. Do I get any complimentary free trials?

Currently, complimentary trials are only included on new Ford purchases. But, you can still connect your phone to your Ford via the Ford App to view, purchase and manage available services.
